At Morning Sun Martial Arts, our focus is on quality instruction and personal attention to our students.

All of our classes are taught by highly trained instructors committed to excellence and continuous learning. Our Instructors use various resources provided by International Taekwon-Do Federation and its Rank and Certification standard.

We also use various resources provided by Hapkido West to augment our program and curriculum, and share Hapkido West’s vision of furthering the art of Hapkido, upholding the highest quality in instructional standards, and providing benefits to others.

Individuals of any age may start classes at Morning Sun Martial Arts. We will take the kindergartner all the way from his first class up to his first Black Belt. We will also take her mom & dad from their first class all the way to their first Black Belt! All ages will benefit from our physically challenging programs and can start any time. To accommodate your busy life, our school offers convenient schedules.

Morning Sun Martial Arts is proud to offer a unique family program. These dynamic classes are designed to allow the parent(s) and their children (certain age restriction applies) to exercise together and experience Martial Arts technical skills as a family. We believe that a family training in our Martial Arts program together will not only enjoy the benefits of physical strength but also treasure the strengthening of a family bond.

Physical Fitness
In addition to its practical applications as system of self-defense, Taekwon-Do is one of the best ways to improve all-around health and fitness. Children's Program
Martial arts instruction offers innumerable benefits for children of all ages, including improved physical health, self-esteem, confidence, concentration, and self-discipline. As a community of martial arts students, we frequently arrange group events such as parties, outings, and trips. These events are a great way to meet and get to know your fellow students as well as the instructors. We offer different classes for different age groups of children, starting with the pre-schoolers and all the way to pre-teen age group. Tigers and Pee-Wee program at our school focuses on the basic components of Martial Arts technique. The curriculum is focused on building strong fundamentals, like Balance, Focus Skills, Listening skills and Social skills. These programs are also geared toward building a strong foundation for their future martial art training regardless of the style they may choose.

Adult and Teen Program
Adults join our program for a variety of reasons, including both general fitness training and practical self-defense. By separating adult and children's classes, we can offer our adult students a rigorous and uninterrupted class, as well as the instruction needed to reach individual goals. Whether your goal is to become a Black Belt, to feel safe walking the streets, or simply to gain the strength and flexibility needed to meet your personal fitness "target", you can reach it through our program. Taekwon-Do is, first and foremost, an excellent way to learn a practical system of self-defense. Beyond that, however, it provides a number of additional, life-enhancing benefits, including both increased fitness and confidence. Regardless of your age, sex, or fitness level, our Taekwon-Do program can truly help you in reaching your full potential, not only as an athlete, but as a human being.

Private Lessons
Our school offers a variety of ways to trains and takes advantage of all the benefits Taekwon-Do has to offer. For those students who want private, personal training, our instructors are here for you! Many people enjoy the flexible training schedule that private lessons can provide. Others use private lessons as a way to supplement their regular training routine with classes tailored specifically to their individual needs. Private instruction not only gives students a great deal of schedule flexibility, but can also provide a great "boost" in a normal workout program. Fitness Kickboxing
Our Fitness Kickboxing is one of the best ways to achieve all your fitness goals. You can burn an amazing 800 calories in this one hour martial arts based workout. It addresses three major training elements to optimal health: Cardiovascular, Strength and Flexibility. High energy music motivates you as you warm up with kickboxing moves and stretching. Your instructor makes it feel like you have your own personal trainer getting your heart rate up with cardio kickboxing. Manage stress and condition your body as you kick and punch bags. Improve your core strength with boot camp style sit ups and pushups. Tone muscles and build strength as you are challenged with the weight training portion. Finish class with a gentle stretch and breathing exercise that brings you back from the best workout you will ever have. We promise you will leave a bit tired but feeling refreshed and invigorated.
